Mama & Moon is hand classed Alpaca fleece by one of the few accredited Australian alpaca classers, ensuring that we only select fleeces that have low or soft primary fibres. Primary fibres are those itchy little coarse fibres that take away the beautiful cashmerey feel of the garment. We are breeding alpacas that naturally have less and softer Primary fibres.

Mama & Moon is sourced from healthy, free-roaming alpacas, that live on the highlands of the Great Dividing Range in NSW. Shorn once a year, they produce a beautiful cashmerey fleece.
